Q: What is the minimum height from the floor that awning should be fixed to a wall?
A: 3m is the recommended height to position the wall brackets above the floor beneath the awning
Q: What size drill bit should I use for drilling the holes?
A: You don’t need to drill holes as it’s a semi permanent awning.
Q: Can the awning be left outdoor over winter?
A: Yes. Of course the awning should be retracted in over winter to avoid overloading caused by snowfall / leaf debris etc.
Q: How long is the guarantee period?
A: The manufacturer gives a 12 month guarantee.
Q: How much maintenance is required?
A: Very little. An occasional ‘grease’ of moving parts / joints is recommended once a year using a suitable lubricant (e.g. WD40 or similar)
Q: Is it waterproof?
A: The awning is shower proof – however we would recommend that the outside is sprayed with waterproof spray.
Q: Should I keep the awning up all the time
A: If not in use during autumn and winter please take the awning down.
