Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is there a way to decrease the sensitivity of the track increment feature, so that individual tracks from older vinyl records and tapes can be transferred to CD successfully? A: Many older recordings feature a certain amount of background hiss/noise and this can affect the ability of Vinyl2CD to recognize the beginning and end of individual tracks. This problem can be solved by using the manual track increment mode (detailed on page 21 of the user manual). Alternatively, you can divide your recorded tracks by using the Audacity software provided (see page 45 of the user manual for details)
Q: Can I use Vinyl2CD to copy my existing CDs? A: Yes, by connecting your existing CD player to Vinyl2CD via the aux-in jack. Once connected and the aux-in setting has been selected, simply play your CDs on your existing player and create (burn) new CDs on Vinyl2CD.
Q: Am I able to record tracks from different records or skip recording certain tracks? A: Yes. You can do this by pressing the pause button whilst recording, moving to the next track you wish to record and then pressing play.
